Fish diseases are broadly classified into bacteria, environmental and parasitic diseases. Microorganisms are present anywhere in the tank. However, problems arise when Betta Fish is unstable.
Beta is less susceptible to infection due to its low resistance. This, if ignored, causes a significant change in health and wellness that may lead to death.
Diseases of the environment insist on the surroundings where your Betta Fish lives. Proper care and cleanliness of fish tanks helps keep fungi and microorganisms away from Betta fish.
Disease type:
Parasites are small organisms, and Oƶdinium is the most common disease causing parasite in Bettas. In addition, the bug literally causes Betta's fish to get sick. Ichthyophthirius multifilis is a kind of parasitic disease occurring in Betta fish.
Below are some of the above three types of Betta Fish disease.
Unionized ammonia (NH 3)
This is an environmental disease called ammonia poisoning. This is caused by the following factors.
1. New non hygienic tank
2. Many fish are staying in the same aquarium
3. Frequent water change
Filtration problem
Symptoms are as follows.
1. Oxygen fish's hardship
2. It is placed at the bottom of the tank
3. Bleeding gills
4. Reddish stripes on the fin
5. Weakness and Stillness
6. There is no food intake
In order to keep Betta Fish healthy, we need to take care of fish on a regular basis. If ignored, poisoning will hurt and destroy the tissues of the fish, causing erythrocyte wounds throughout the body. In the long run, the central nervous system and the brain may also deteriorate and die.
Flexibacter Columnaris
This is a bacterial disease also called Oral Fungus, Flexiviator, Cotton Mouth, and Simple Column Squirrel. This is usually seen in catfish and living Betta fish.
Symptoms are as follows.

Bacteria enter fish from the mouth, injured parts, scars and gills. It is a contagious disease leading to death. Bacteria grow dramatically. Lowering the temperature is not a solution to this condition as this disease will proceed rapidly at high water temperatures.
Oodinium Pilularis
This is a parasitic disease also called Gold Rust Disease or Velvet. Oodiniums are parasites and can eradicate the entire population of Betta fish in your tank.
Symptoms are as follows.
1. Friction of objects against objects
