First, congenital heart disease is an abnormality in the heart and large blood vessels, and these defects cause an occlusion of the heart or an abnormal flow pattern. The main cause of death as a consequence of birth defects is abnormality of such a heart.

Diseases of this type can be classified into four basic types, which are: septal defects; cyanosis deficiency; hypoplasia; defects of the disorder. Due to the bluish gray shade of the child's skin, the blue defect is obvious, which is caused by the lack of oxygen. In septal defects, the tissue dividing the left part from the right part of the heart is abnormal. This often leads to unwanted blood flow between the left and the right, and the efficiency of the heart is often determined.

Hyperplasia is a result of the right or left ventricle that did not fully develop and occlusive defects are due to occlusion or reduced flow of valves or major vessels. What is important here is that many congenital deficiencies of the heart do not require any treatment and that management is quite different from the management of heart disease that appears in later life.
